Five Stars: Stefen handled my case very well. I never hired a lawyer before and had expectations from TV of meeting in person, phone calls, lots of updates, etc. All of that is unrealistic. Lawyers are busy and are paid for their time so in the long run, less is more. A shady lawyer probably would've loved to spend all day emailing and calling so he can send a huge bill. Stefen explained his strategy initially, emailed me when necessary and explained he's handling everything on my behalf. I have never had to deal with a legal matter and my case was involving my credit union wanting to reach a settlement for my previous car. Regardless of the situation at hand, I expressed to Mr. Shamberg my desired outcomes and where my thoughts were surrounding what I was accountable and liable for.
Mr. Shamberg, since I had my first consultation with him, is extremely patient, diligent with his work and time and is willing to answer every single question you may have. My case lasted for about 6 months and there was never a time we were not on the same page or in constant communication with him; even just checking in while awaiting responses from opposing counsel and the judge. I have to note that even when I wanted something that was typically not the outcome in settlement cases, Mr. Shamberg listened, gave his professional opinion and still sent my request to opposing counsel although that outcome had very little chance of being accepted. It ended up working in our favor. Five Stars: Foreclosure balance negotiated. I had my home foreclosed due to a loss of employment. The bank took my home and sold it for half what it was worth before the housing crash. Unfortunately, I also had a home improvement loan on the home. That lender received no funds from the foreclosure sale and sued me for the balance.
